That's why we've launched our 6 week Pilates for beginners class. This course is suitable for anyone who wants to give Pilates a try - whether you're pre or postnatal, or just interested in Pilates for your health and wellbeing.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a fantastic low impact form of exercise that focuses on balance, posture, strength and flexibility. Due to the low impact nature of Pilates, it is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. Just remember - low impact doesn't mean no sweat! You'll get a great workout to improve your overall strength and flexibility without the heavy impact of some higher intensity classes.

According to the NHS, Pilates was developed by German-born Joseph Pilates, who believed mental and physical health were closely connected. His method was influenced by western forms of exercise, including gymnastics, boxing and Greco-Roman wrestling.
