Hypnobirthing is an incredible way of preparing women, and their birthing partners, for labour. Our passion is to give you the knowledge, tools and techniques to look forward to labour and birth. We are here to help you have a confident and positive childbirth experience.

Our aim is to help you feel calm, confident and in control so you can make informed decisions about your birth; no matter what sort of birth you are planning- or what sort of birth you end up having. Many women, their partners and birth partners can feel anxious, scared and fearful of birth, lots of people will often share 'those stories' which are less than helpful and can reiterate the 'media' version of what childbirth can be like. That's why we teach these techniques, to allow you to feel supported, educated and empowered during labour. Your body is designed to carry, grow and birth your precious child, and we can show you many techniques to help you stay relaxed, feel tranquil and at ease.

That’s how our hypnobirthing can help you. Encouraging a feeling of tranquillity, through relaxation and breathing techniques; learning new tools to use to enable you to reduce stress, anxiety, fears and as a result, reduce pain. We teach you through breathing and deep relaxation as well as visualisation, combined with positive thought and language so you feel in control and completely at ease. Sounds wonderful, it is! Sam who leads these courses, herself used these techniques with both of her boys and experienced really positive home births.

What you’ll learn through our workshops is how you can confidently approach a safe, easier and more comfortable natural birth. We can’t promise you a ‘perfect’ birth – no one can – but we can promise you a much more relaxed and satisfying birth than you would have otherwise.

You will learn to connect both the physical, mental and emotional aspects of birth.

Over our 3 week course you will learn:

  • Relaxation and breathing techniques
  • How to ‘release your fears’
  • Techniques and tools to use at different stages of labour
  • Birth from your baby’s perspective
  • A ‘birth rehearsal’
  • How to manage when things deviate from your birth plan

A full set of handouts will be provided as well as the audio tracks so that you can practice each of the techniques at home and during labour.

Our next course starts on Monday 19th October on zoom. All handouts and audio files will be sent to out via email so you can practice at home.
