A dedicated space for midlife women to feel educated and empowered to experience positive peri-menopausal and menopausal years.
A first for Oxfordshire women, this group will combine education and information on key areas from symptom management, nutrition, self care, stress management and sleep. There are no topics off limits so if something is impacting you, then we can talk about it!
What happens in a typical class?
Each session will combine education and information as outlined above, followed by a 40 minute exercise program, built specifically for peri and menopausal needs. Think cardio, strength, balance, agility, co-ordination. As well as relaxation and mindfulness.
The menopause effects all women in their life time and there is very little information that is credible and evidence based to support you to make positive decisions at this life stage. So we have created just that, evidence based, real life strategies to help and advise midlife women.
What will I learn?
Everything from gut health, sleep patterns, lifestyle choices and mindset can influence the way your body deals with these inevitable changes. We can show you how to feel more positive, create real strategies and delve into subjects that concern you eg osteoporosis, heart health, pelvic floor weakness and breast health.
This group is for women who are 40 plus, or anyone experiencing menopausal symptoms. If you are experiencing early onset menopause or have undergone hysterectomy surgery you are welcome to join us.
Alongside a weekly class, you will also join our dedicated facebook group where we can set you weekly tasks, share recipes and lifestyle tips. As well as interact with your new found ‘menopausal mates’!!
Personal Training sessions are available to support you in addition to this group, for example a 1-2-1 session on pelvic floor weakness or a block of 5 weekly sessions to give you a kick start. If you prefer to exercise and delve into topics individually then we can do that too! Just email firstname.lastname@example.org for availability.
If you have recently undergone surgery, have injury or specific pain sites we can make the necessary adaptions for you – in fact joint pain is one of the menopausal symptoms we are aiming to reduce.
We also have great links with Women’s Health Physiotherapists in the local area should you require.

Alongside the education and fitness aspects of MenoMovement, Keri has 8 years experience in working in Women’s Health so is able to modify all exercises and give advice on pelvic floor weakness, she is also an Advanced Pilates Practitioner in back pain, a Women’s Health Personal Trainer and has completed training in Optimal Health after Hysterectomy.
