Can you believe January is nearly over? I hope the past month has treated you well, my lovelies!
I know the post-holiday period can spur that urge in many of us to try and “reset” after all of those rich indulgences.
But as I’m fond to say, quick fixes and extreme diets are not the answer!
As we wrap up the first month of 2024, I wanted to check in and see how your wellness journeys are going so far…
Adding More Movement
Did you start gently adding more movement into your days – whether it was brisk walks with the little one or joining one of my online stretch classes when naptime allowed?
Remember, exercise doesn’t have to be about burning calories or intense sweat sessions right away.
It can be fun, social and give you such a sense of achievement.
Fueling Your Body
What about fueling your body with wholesome foods and staying hydrated?
I hope you nourished yourself with lean proteins, veggies, whole grains and lots of water. The occasional treat is A-okay too!
This is about consistency, not perfection.
Scheduling Me Time
I hope you also made time for precious “me time” amidst the hustle and bustle of our busy mum schedules!
Even if it was just a few moments to journal, soak in a bubble bath, or sip your morning tea in peace. I know how hard it is, but it’s so important.
You deserve it!
Did you lean on your village this month for extra support?
Maybe you reached out to an accountability buddy when motivation was low. Or got your little ones together for active playdates!
Attending classes together is such a mood booster too.
Be Kind to Yourself
Most importantly, I hope you’ve been speaking kindly to yourself along the way. Progress takes time so celebrate those small wins, my lovelies! Don’t stress about the occasional slip up either.
You’ve got this!
As we wrap up January, think about what worked well for you this past month that you’d like to carry into February. And what didn’t work so well that you’re happy to leave behind!
Let me know how your January went in the comments – I love hearing from you ladies! And if you need a little extra support on your health and wellness journey this year, I’m only an email away.
Until next time x
